About the Role:
We are looking for a high impact Senior Deployment Engineer to join a team to do the engineering necessary to analyze and optimize the use of these sensor capabilities in a range of heterogeneous Kubernetes environments. The team needs to stay on top of the cutting edge of innovation in devops and in the container space and understand the latest in fundamental technology shifts, operating systems, and tooling available in these environments, e.g. in networking, service mesh components such as istio and envoy, as well as alternative orchestration systems such as ECS and Nomad. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a track record of high quality dev ops work in such environments.
Engineers in the team will develop mechanisms and automation using the latest Infrastructure As Code tooling to rapidly set up a variety of container environments involving orchestration systems like Kubernetes in a range of configurations that our customers deploy the sensors. The team will then deploy the sensors and the entire Falcon platform for workloads used by our customers in those environments. The team will work closely with the sensor development team as well as customer facing solutions teams. The team will also lead in the work to educate multiple groups within CrowdStrike on the latest container environments and important details and intricacies of each one for deploying our sensors.

What You'll Do:
  • Use a combination of automation and ad hoc setup judiciously to bring up a diverse range of Kubernetes and other container orchestration systems in a representative set of configurations in which to deploy sensors
  • Identify technical issues with deploying sensors in those environments and work closely with the sensor development team to root-cause issues and get them fixed
  • Be the technical expert on container deployment environments for all stakeholder in the company, including sales and solutions engineering teams
  • Work with customer facing teams to address field-escalated issues with high quality ensuring customer satisfaction responsively
What You'll Need:
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in software engineering in a devops environment
  • GoLang or Python programming experience
  • Experience with container and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Experience in working with teams that do software development using agile methodology
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • BS degree or equivalent in CS or a related Engineering field
Preferred Requirements:
  • Understanding of OS concepts and major subsystems (CPU, filesystem, memory, networking)
  • Familiarity with at least one public cloud provider e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Platform, Azure
  • Experience automating the application of IaC using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position in the U.S. is $105,000 - $195,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits.
